Hydrate Is One of Our Favorite Georgetown Businesses
Georgetown is a great place to find local businesses. In fact, a thriving, locally owned business community is one of the reasons that the Russ Phillips Team loves practicing real estate here so much! We love our local business owners and are so proud they choose to call Georgetown home. In fact, in honor of our local entrepreneurs, we will be choosing a local business to highlight the first Friday of every month. This month we would like to highlight a favorite of ours: Hydrate. Hydrate is located at 2502 Williams Drive Suite C and has deep roots in the community.
Though Hydrate has been a locally owned business here for more than eight (8) years, in the last few years they have given their entire shop a re-haul, transforming what was once a water and snow cone place into a complete health and hydration stop designed to meet our communities need for healthy drink and snack options. The Fun of Visiting Handcrafts Unlimited
While stopping by Handcrafts Unlimited today I had a chance to speak with several of the current volunteers and artisans and discovered the historically rich background of this 31-year-old establishment, the oldest on the Georgetown Square. The shop is filled to the brim with hand made goods of every sort: quilts, baby clothes, pottery, Christmas ornaments, decorative household items and more.

As the director said to me, the little shop’s purpose is to foster the image of the 50+ community as creative productive people. Some of the sweet ladies let me in on what they were working on which was a grand sized quilt for the July raffle. As we chatted together, they told me stories about how. ...

Movoto Real Estate Blog Names Georgetown 'Most Caring'
Of course y’all already know I’m a little biased when it comes to Georgetown. I love this city and I'm constantly bragging on it to my real estate colleagues in Austin. There's more to real estate than just the homes for sale--it's the community a house is in that adds a lot of value. So I do happen to think it’s one of the best towns, in one of the best areas, abutting one of the best cities in the world. And not only that, I know we have the best, most friendly people living here that anyone could hope to find! So when the real estate blog movoto.com put out their Top Ten Most Caring Small Cities in America list last week – I wasn’t surprised to find Georgetown near the top of the list (I was a little surprised it wasn’t number one though!). I commend Movoto for recognizing that real estate is also about communities and the people who live there.
Great Volunteer Opportunities in Georgetown
