2014 Was A Great Year For Georgetown TX Real Estate

As 2014 came to a close this week and The Russ Phillips Team gears up for 2015, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about our team’s 2014 highlights in Georgetown real estate, Central Texas real estate and in our broader community involvement. There are an awful lot to choose from, but I’ve narrowed it down to these 2014 Top 5 Moments at the Russ Phillips Team:

5. RPT Got Fit For Charity!

Inspired by a colleague with MS who is a fighter, Ashley and I raised over $6100 for Multiple Sclerosis research during the annual MS-150 Bike Ride from Houston to Austin. I had to shave my head….and my legs in order to beat Ashley in the fundraising. Thanks to all who contributed! 4. Our team closed 66 deals this year.

That’s a lot of Georgetown homes for sale that are no longer on the market! It's also a family getting where they want to be every 5 ½ days! Thanks to all our awesome clients! “Let’s get you there!” is more than words for us. J

3. We got to watch our real estate clients on “Property Brothers” on HGTV.

Russ hooked these folks up with the show after a call went out to the Board of Realtors…sadly, the show made it look like one of the brothers sold them the house and we got no credit…but hey, what a cool remodel they got!!

2. The Russ Phillips Team was again recognized for outstanding local real estate service.

Out of over 1,000 applicants, we were awarded membership for the fourth year in a row to the Platinum Top 50 Realtors of Austin (based on sales, community involvement, and professional education) and also for the second year in a row to the Austin Business Journal’s Top 20 Realtors of Austin list (based on sales volume out of over 8,000 Austin area Realtors). This is kind of like winning an Oscar and a Golden Globe in our industry! I was even asked to speak at the PT50 event, which was a little nerve-wracking.

1. The Team hired MEAGAN HENRY to be our Vice President of Operations.

Meagan has been an amazing addition to our real estate staff; with a great eye for project management in the launch of new marketing, database management, web-based improvements, and so many other things we are doing to “up our game” and serve you better. Meagan brings a ray of sunshine to the office every day, along with some amazing tech-savvy and a work ethic that is hard to beat. She’s whipping us into shape! She comes to us after 5 years in Asia, serving the Lord with her husband, Chase. It was no problem figuring out what would be #1 on our list this year! J

We look forward to more memorable moments in 2015 as we set our goals even higher, looking to serve twice as many families this year as last. As always, we promise to work our hardest to be your trusted real estate advisors.
